About the Owner
Amanda Day
Hello! I'm Amanda Day, owner of By Day Services, LLC. I was born and raised in Atlanta, so I am one of the rare, native Georgia peaches. I still live in the metro area with my husband, our son, and three very silly cats.
I have experience working in a variety of professional settings; however, my passion is people! My degree is in anthropology (the study of humans), and while I still love it, academia was not a good fit for me. I prefer to work with people on a more individual level and to see the help I offer make a difference in their lives.
Our Story
What had happened was...
I started By Day Services because I've been there too! After my son was born I became very ill for a time and needed someone to help me organize and baby-proof our home. After he was a little older, I was an office receptionist and often needed extra hours in the day so that I could answer phones and handle all of the filing. Now, as the busy mom, of that same wonderful kiddo on the autism spectrum, I have often wanted someone to handle the little things so that I can enjoy this unpredictable life to the fullest.
When I decided to open this business, I knew I would be working for and helping people again, but in a much more tangible way than I ever did with my degree or in someone else's office.
